Quality training session

A training session was held at the Newcastle office for Owners, Team Leaders and Administrators to ensure the high standards which we pride ourselves on were being maintained throughout our expansion to ensure we are continuously providing the high quality to our clients, which we are renowned for.

The day included many topics, covering customer acquisition, the monitoring of attrition rates, customer service and generally ensuring the continuation of high standards across the board.
An interactive workshop was also held throughout the day to enable everyone to get involved and participate fully.

Everyone walked away having learnt something new that would benefit them in their daily routine.

Well done and keep up the good work!

Tuscan Christmas Rally

As the year came to an end, the Coulson Organisation, were invited to Liverpool to take part in the final conference of the year.

To celebrate all the hard work and dedication, we were treated to some inspirational speakers as well as celebrity boxer Ricky Hatton giving words of advice and an insight into his career highs and lows. There was also a repeat performance from last year as Jamie Archer played some classics to get everyone into the Christmas spirit!

Due to the amazing growth our company demonstrated throughout 2010 we were privileged to pick up the Organisational Expansion Award. Not only did we win as a company but some of our team leaders picked up an Excellence in Leadership awards to recognise their strengths and ability in coaching and developing their team to a high standard.

With everyone’s spirits high we returned home to Newcastle to look to the year ahead -2011!!

Malaysia

As Appco expands further around the world, some hard working members of our team were fortunate enough to fly over to spend a few days in offices throughout Malaysia and Singapore to find out exactly how they do things in the Far East. Not only taking in the beautiful surroundings but also their work ethic and dedication to the Clients which they are representing.

Despite the thousands of miles between our offices the basic principals were still the same, maintaining high standards and delivering a professional quality service for our clients.
They found out new ways to develop not only as team leaders but also as individuals which was as inspirational as the cities they were surrounded by.

As they return home, rested and energised after the short break we will be sure to see great things from them in the future!

Thank you’ Event

In late November 2010, we were pleased to entertain some of the people who had contributed to the campaign as a Thank You, and also some of our beneficiaries.

We held the event at St James’s Park once more and it was to be a delightful evening with plenty of laughter and a chance to meet some incredibly special people. Our events team were on board to present the relevant parties with their award certificates showing just how much they had raised and also to give them more of an insight into our company. It proved to be a great success and everyone there understood the need to continue with our campaign and raise even more awareness

The Coulson Organisation, were overjoyed to team up with their Liverpool and Gloucester offices at St James’s Park to celebrate the rising stars in their offices.

The Rising Star awards are highly sought after as they show appreciation and acknowledgement for the recipient’s hard work within the organisation. The day was extremely successful seeing two rising stars from each office take the esteemed awards.

There were also visits from some of the most successful people within the company to discuss their top tips and ideas to continue with their efforts after becoming a rising star as well as giving the more established team members encouragement and acknowledgement for their efforts throughout the year.

Joe Arkley and Dave Coulson raise money for National Deaf Children's Society with sky dive

Joe Arkley and Dave Coulson of the Coulson Organisation have raised over £1200 for the National Deaf Children's Society by sky diving from 12,000 feet.

The jump included climbing to just over 12,000 feet in a light aircraft, 45 seconds of free fall at 120 mph (straight down) and then deploying the main canopy at 5,000 feet.

"We'd both never done one before and fancied the challenge, whilst at the same time raising money for a great cause," said Dave Coulson, Managing Director of the Coulson Organisation. "Jumping out of the plane was probably one of the most terrifying/ exhilarating experiences of my life.
"The 45 seconds of freefall was a liberating experience but when the paracute opened and we went from 120mph straight down to 20mph (in only a second) we were left with a couple of bruises but it made the rest of the decent seem strangely calm after such a manic start."

Portugal

Due to the continuous growth and expansion of The Coulson Organisation, several of the hardest working members of the Coulson team were invited to spend 5 days amongst some of the leading names in the business in the Hilton Vilamoura Resort in Portugal. They were given a unique opportunity to attend not only company meetings, but also to arrange personal one-to-one discussions with some of the company’s key players.

It was a chance for them to learn new skills while enjoying a more relaxed environment in sunnier surroundings!

They came away relaxed and refreshed, ready to implement their new found knowledge and also feeling rewarded for the diligence of their work ethic throughout the year.
